Diablo 4 director Brent Gibson is telling fans not to worry about the game after Diablo 5’s announcement sparked concerns about the former title’s lifespan.

While Diablo 5 was announced at Blizzcon 2026 just a couple weeks ago, the game doesn't come out until Spring 2029. But it seems like Chris Wilson, Ex-Co-Founder of Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games, is tentatively excited for Blizzard's next ARPG.

Blizzard wants leveling up and finding new items to have an immediate impact on combat.

Blizzard has insisted Diablo 4 still has “bright support” as the community debates the shock news that no more expansions will be released for the game and with Diablo 5 looming over the horizon.

The 2029 action RPG won't have to be a completely solo experience, Blizzard says.
